Central Houston, Inc. is a 501 (c)(6) private, non-profit corporation supported by memberships of businesses and institutions with an interest in downtown and the central city. CHI’s members are concerned with urban planning, economic development, transportation issues, public safety, governmental affairs, and cultural and entertainment programs. The corporation's affiliate, Central Houston Civic Improvement, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) organization that supports various downtown special projects.
