Planning and Development Coordination

Central Houston serves as the primary planning coordination entity for downtown. The organization leads or assists in comprehensive planning advocacy, including coordination of meetings with development associations throughout the city. Tunnel System development is coordinated as well as other improvements involving the City and METRO street and sidewalk projects. Central Houston is now leading implementation of the Downtown Houston Development Framework as prepared by the Downtown District and is coordinating a multi-agency working group.
